NBA Prop Bet - February 8th

Steph Curry - Over / Under 28.5 Points

The Warriors head to Indiana on the second-leg of a back-to-back. However, last night’s effort from Golden State wasn’t as taxing as usual considering they breezed by Philadelphia 127-104.

Curry logged just 25 minutes and scored 9 points on seven field goal attempts. So he should be plenty rested for tonight’s affair.

Also, oddly enough - Curry has thrived in the second-leg of back-to-backs this season. He has played in eight games that had no rest in between spots, and in those situations he has averaged 33.4 ppg and has gone over 28.5 points in five of them.

Furthermore, tonight offers a favorable matchup in general - considering the Pacers are a defense that ranks 26th in points per 100 possessions (120.5), 23rd in effective field goal percentage (56.5%) and dead last in free throw rate (24.1).

And when diving deeper into the specifics - we can view exactly why it sets up well for the future hall of famer.

Curry is taking 56% of his shots from beyond the arc and 29% from midrange. He’s connecting on 41% from three and 48% from mid. Indiana is allowing opponents to make over 47% of their shots from midrange (29th) and 38% from deep (20th).

This prop of 28.5 is a mark that Curry has gone over in only 21/44 games, but, as I stated, we’ve witnessed him overcome it in a majority of back-to-back settings and against poor defenses, which will be the case this evening. Also, this game total is set as high as 249.5 - so scoring should be expected to come in bountiful amounts and Curry will be a main proprietor of that.

Play: Steph Curry Over 28.5 Points (-114); Risk 1.14 units to win 1.00

NBA Record: 8-2 (+5.13)
